What is checked tag:-

HTML | checked Attribute. The checked attribute in HTML is used to indicate whether an element should be checked when the page loads up. It is a Boolean attribute. You can set a checkbox or radio button to be checked by default by using checked attributes. To do this you can just add "checked" to the input element.

Note: It can be used with <input> element only where type is either “checkbox” or “radio”.

 Syntax: <input type = "checkbox|radio" checked>
